In search of a boutique dessert shop in the vibrant Mission district I discovered this little hole in the wall called “Sixth Course” through Instagram! Their amazing photos led me to Yelping and learning that this place a total hit! On a rainy day, my husband and I decided to go to Mission district to check out this hidden gem. Finding a parking spot could be tough, but don’t let that discourage you. There’s a sweet parking garage in a walking distance. (You can totally walk off those calories right after lots and lots of Sixth Course desserts)

As soon as I walked in, I immediately felt overwhelmed by the variety of sweets! They are all in such cute displays. Allow me to mention a bit about this place, Sixth Course is San Francisco’s sweet destination serving a variety of desserts made from scratch with organic, locally-sourced ingredients. Does this catch your attention at all? Well, it certainly catches mine!

Since I’ve been stalking their Instagram for awhile and amazed by how great their desserts looked. I knew what I wanted: Home Sweet Gnome is my ultimate goal today. Let’s see what’s in it; vanilla chantilly, chocolate amaretto mousse, candied cranberries, almond joconde cake, and chocolate soil. What’s not to like? I started off biting down on the mushroom roof which made of chocolate, YUM! It was quite fun trying each piece of this amazingly yummy dessert and guessed what it was made of, my mind was completely blown even before I finished it off.

My husband tried one of their truffle, gelato and Chocolate & Chai dessert. I sampled some of his dessert, and oh my… Let me tell you, I’m glad that we decided to go separate way when it comes to desserts. You should give yourself a go and order your own! By the way, we got a free spiced drinking chocolate with the purchase of two pastries because its was a rainy day special, so yay us!

If I could, I would have tried every single thing there, but I was just so content with my choice. Next time, I would definitely try their truffles and gelato. So, if you are nearby, check this place out and thank me later. They open Tuesdays – Saturdays from 2 PM – 10 PM or check their website http://www.sixthcourse.com/ for more info.
